Notes:
Bob Sievwright (Sivvy was a legend in his lifetime. His career was phenomenally successful in over 40 years of playing for Arbroath United, regularly taking over 100 wickets a season, an achievement all the more remarkable because he only played on a Saturday and the occasional holiday. He also built up a successful joinery business, all the while that he was taking the wickets on Saturdays. He played 18 times for Scotland, on more than one occasion proving that he was a match for the best in Jack Hobbs and Warren Bardsley. Here cricket historian David Potter attempts to give an account of the amazing and lengthy career of this remarkable man.
