Triple jeopardy [text (large print)]

Perry, Anne, 1938-2020
Large Print
It's four years since Daniel Pitt has seen his beloved sister, Jemima, so he is overjoyed when she visits England with her husband and daughter. Patrick, her husband, is with the US police force and he's on a mission to convict a British diplomat, Philip Sydney, for a robbery and assault that took place in Washington D.C. Sydney has fled to London to seek diplomatic immunity, but when he's arrested it's for embezzlement of embassy funds, not for assault, and Daniel and Kitteridge are appointed to defend him. As the case unfolds, Daniel suspects that Sydney is being framed for a series of crimes he did not commit. Convinced that crucial evidence is still missing, Daniel enlists the help of Miriam Kitteridge to piece together a chain of events that started in the Channel Isles, led to the assault in Washington and could very well result in the death of an innocent man.
